What is LifeKnocks?

LifeKnocks at its core is a mindset and a vehicle which allows individuals to tap into their inner strength and feel inspired. Created after a personal tragedy, LifeKnocks originated from a boxing gym experience; evolved into writing a song, the song lyrics became the catalyst for creating original choreography (boxing/hip hop); resulting in the creation of a music video; which segued into a non-profit organization to inspire children diagnosed with autoimmune diseases. What began as an individualist story began encompassing a more global meaning which inspired the LifeKnocks team to produce a documentary.

Our slogan is “We as human beings step into the ring of life, get knocked down, and through the resilience of the human spirit, we get up once more.”

LifeKnocks is an Award-Winning Project- LifeKnocks was submitted to The University of Pennsylvania School of Law's annual contest and was chosen from hundreds of submissions to receive a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation status. The non-profit organization sends children diagnosed with autoimmune diseases to camps that specialize in boxing training, both theater and visual arts, and music production. The idea being that channeling a child's mental and physical energy into a rewarding and stimulating experience, can go a long way in helping them transcend their medical conditions.The medical profession has proven, through the practice of imagery, one can mentally displace pain for several hours daily. By utilizing the creative arts and the discipline and exhilaration of boxing; our LifeKnocks children will be inspired and empowered not to be knocked down by their disease, but rather to get up and be creative.
